DJ Sanj

Background
DJ Sanj began his career at the age of 16 for the local college Radio Station gaining valuable experience in the art of being a DJ.

A year later Sanj picked up his first set of decks and formed Ying-Yang DJ’s with some college friends, playing a blend of R’n’B and Hip-Hop music. Ying-Yang DJs started by playing at private parties and functions around Manchester and also playing at Volts Discotheque, a local night club.

DJ Sanj then began to listen to artists like Bally Sagoo and Gurdaas Maan. This led Sanj towards the energy and rhythm of Bhangra music. His love of both these genres gave him the idea to try and fuse the two styles together. Then when he met Dholi T together they formed DesiFusion DJ’s.

DesiFusion
After a string of successful private functions DesiFusion started working with club night promoters ApnaBeat and WB Promotions. This led to DesiFusion becoming the resident DJ and Dholi at ‘Seduction’, a Bhangra / RnB night at Satan’s Hollow, Princess Street, Manchester City Center.

As well as this weekly night DesiFusion have performed at popular club events such as Rock ‘n’ Dhol and the Daytimer. At these events they have played alongside artists such as RDB, Rishi Rich, Panjabi MC, Apache Indian, Kasanova, and MC Gorilla Chilla.
